Chitterlings

The large intestines of a pig, cleaned thoroughly and then poached.

I've never tried this dish, but a report I've received says they taste of - How can I put this? - what they originally contained!


Geography

I am not sure what part of the country this belongs to, in fact it may not be British in origin at all, but I am told Chitterlings are sold by butchers in Gloucestershire, at least.
