Scotch Pie

picture A delicious pie containing minced lamb, often highly spiced, in a crust of thin, stiff pastry. The top crust is positioned lower than the sides to make a space for adding mashed potato, baked beans or gravy.

I've only ever seen these in 'individual' sizes, diameter about 90cm, I don't know if a larger size is made as well.

Geography

Originating from Scotland, where I'm told it's just called 'pie', but available in supermarkets in England as well.
